Mortimer Racing

We own 3 Formula Mazdas, 2 Formula F2000, and 3 Spec Miatas which we race and rent at Calabogie Motorsport Park. Competing in Libre Challenge and Spec Miata series of evening races at Calabogie Motorsport Park. Also the Formula Libre CLUB series and sedan races for the miatas at Calabogie which are weekend events. For the last 5 years we have won multiple formula libre races and the championships. We also won the spec miata championship and Lucky Dog Enduro in 2020, 2021.

Our team has won hundreds of awards over the years, which include both races and team awards.


We won the 2007 Ontario Formula Ford overall championship with Matt White and the Diamond class with Lew MacKenzie.
In 2008: We won the OFFC, "A" & "B" class again with Matt White & Lew Mackenzie.
In 2009: We again won the OFFC "A" Class. For three consecutive years these Championships with Matt White were won with our own 2000 Van Diemen rental car. This back to back tripple championship has never been achieved before.
We also won the F1600 Masters class support race at the Montreal F1 event with Lew MacKenzie in 2016.

Our CEO

Our CEO Nigel Mortimer was a Senior Motor Vehicle Defect Investigator and later Head of Recalls for Transport Canada, with specific emphasis on motor vehicle design, manufacture, handling, component failure analysis and testing, accident investigation, and advanced driver training. He was also responsible for an automobile, motorcycle, snowmobile, and ATV fleet. He headed up various committees for new vehicle technology, tires and snowmobile safety. Authored various technical papers and instructional pamphlets. Procured funding and directed a training video on winter tire demonstration. Appeared in many TV shows as an expert on tires, winter driving and vehicle safety matters.(Marketplace, Rick Mercer Reports etc)

His passion has always been racing, starting as a young boy in England and continuing to this day.
